Challenge
Control of water consumption
Having water and energy consumption under control is the first step in the sustainable development of any modern company. Taking into account the annual requirements to increase production, it has become inevitable at Cedevita to monitor water and energy consumption per product unit and analyze the dependence between these two variables.

Technologies used
In 2011, Cedevita started cooperation with the Rudan company on a remote monitoring and water saving project. The cooperation that brought results was extended in 2015 to remote monitoring of the consumption of all energy sources. By upgrading the remote reading system with the Energo Monitor analytical solution, Cedevita gained the possibility of a unified and analytical view of the consumption of water, electricity, compressed air pressure and steam flow. In addition to monitoring water and energy consumption, the Energo Monitor system also monitors key indicators of energy efficiency.
Cedevita had specific requirements for the display of data in Energo Monitor, and Rudan met all requirements, adapting Energo Monitor precisely to these user specifics.
Results
Water loss 100% eliminated
Taking into account the reference year 2012, water loss was completely eliminated. Energo Monitor and Aquacontrol are indispensable tools in maintaining this condition. Having the consumption of all energy sources under control, Cedevita’s technical staff was given the ability to raise alarms in case of incident situations. In the event of an incident on the electrical supply, which can happen outside of working hours, the technical staff receives timely information that enables them to intervene in a timely manner, so that there is no outage in production activities. By monitoring the compressed air pressure in real time (minute readings), the technical staff received a tool with which, based on timely information, it is possible to detect a malfunction that can have a major impact on production activities and cause additional costs. Based on the alarm, the technical staff can take timely actions for Troubleshooting.
